Rev Share, Cloud Platform, Global Reach Inspired Houston’s Michael Stavinoha to Join eXp Realty
Houston agent Michael Stavinoha joined eXp Realty in October 2022 for a number of reasons, including revenue share, kvCORE, cloud-based technology, and an international footprint. But another reason was because of Jim Huang, President of eXp Commercial.
Michael served with Jim on the Houston board of AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America) and was impressed with him. Once he saw Jim joining eXp, Michael dug into the eXp model and joined himself. “Whenever a big name moves over, there is a reason and something to understand,” said Michael.
“eXp has kvCORE, which is the best software in real estate. Plus, having international access via a cloud-based company is huge.”
His experience in the import/export business has given Michael a huge global network. Plus, he handles just about every aspect of real estate imaginable: Residential, luxury buyers, sellers and developers for single-family living; commercial leasing and acquisitions; commercial development and underwriting for retail, multi-family, high-rise, planned community, industrial and land acquisition and planning both for sale and for lease; new construction sales and planning.
It’s no wonder that in just a few short months, Michael is expecting to make ICON agent status and says he is already getting revenue share checks of $1,500 and $2,000.

“I joined eXp in October of 2022. eXp’s expansion into the commercial world with (eXp Commercial President) James Huang and the technology were big factors. They offer in my opinion the best real estate software for professionals in this industry and provide dynamic setup and incentives for team building. Team members have a cap of only $8,000, which allows for them to cap much faster. They also have incentives for you doing your job well in the form of cap and cap reimbursements, revenue share as well as stock rewards! Plus, people like Thao Nguyen, Jeff and Amanda Whitespear and Huy Nguyen welcomed us with open arms, shared all the knowledge and processes with us and were incredibly kind!”
How has your production changed since joining eXp Realty?
“I was able to reach my cap with eXp in the first month of my move and we are currently working on over $30 million in offers and 50+ listings with much more coming in 2023! With the ability to streamline my team and workflow using kvCORE I am positive we will expand greatly in 2023!”

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Using eXp’s support to create time for me to be as involved as possible with my two kiddos Enzo and Zane! Watching “Home Alone” during Christmas with the tree lit up or coaching their Little League. (I am easy:)
Who is the person you most admire?
My mother is someone who I look up to for so many reasons. She is so kind, patient and loving towards myself and my family. She has always been there to support me and even stayed by my bed for 30 days in the hospital. She is the reason I am who I am.
One thing you can’t live without?
My kids’ smiling faces. There is NOTHING that makes me feel better, forget a bad day or motivate me more than these little guys running to hug me as I get home. Love is just not a good enough word to represent this feeling.
One trait that has led to your success?
Never being satisfied. I am very hard on myself and will always push to make my life and the life of those around me better.
What celebrity would play you in a movie or TV show?
Hmm, lol… I would like to say Keanu Reeves.. It’s a stretch but.. Why not lol!!
Pet peeve?
Those who take advantage of others.
Little known fact about yourself?
“I have been battling pancreatic cancer for six years and even though it is hard, I have not let it slow me down. In fact, I have used it to motivate me to push forward. To stay focused on the things in front of me and the impressions I can make on those around me. One day when I am gone, I will rely on my accomplishments and friends to tell my kids I was a great guy and that they had a cool dad! I put more value on every breath I take because I may have less than others. We wake up everyday not knowing if we have 20 years, 30 years or more of heart beats and breaths. When told you might have less, you better believe I will make the most of them!”
