Dallas’ TPT Realty Group Joins eXp Realty, Bringing $92M in Sales and a 37-Agent Team

In early October 2024, Teresa Tong, Shelley Wang Parsons and John Terrell, co-leads of the Dallas-based independent brokerage TPT Realty Group, officially joined eXp Realty. The formidable trio made the leap after years of encouragement from their friend and fellow real estate professional, eXp’s Daniel Eng. With impressive production, including $92,040,000 in sales across 613 units in 2023, TPT Realty Group brings 37 agents and one staff member into the eXp network.

A Decision Years in the Making 

“Daniel has been trying to recruit us for three years!” Teresa shared. “It wasn’t until March of this year that we seriously considered it. After a really painful settlement from a tenant-landlord dispute, we began to reflect and internalize what Daniel had been telling us about eXp. We saw how eXp had transformed his life, not only in terms of wealth but also spiritually. He has become someone we truly aspire to emulate.”

A Perfect Fit in Eng’s Team  

Daniel is a respected leader within eXp Realty and co-founded the We Partners Network along with Calvin Wong. He introduced Teresa, Shelley and John to eXp’s unique model, sharing how it has empowered him personally and professionally. 

“Daniel leads a great team, and we feel fortunate to now be part of it,” Teresa remarked. 

TPT Trio Complement Each Other’s Strengths  

Shelley and Teresa started Tong-Parsons Realty at the end of 2017. In early 2020, John joined Tong-Parsons and it was rebranded to Tong-Parsons & Terrell Realty. In 2023, it evolved to TPT Realty and now the team is branded as TPT Realty Group, Brokered by eXp Realty.

Originally from Tianjin, China, Teresa’s journey to real estate is as diverse as her career. After moving to the U.S., she studied computer science at the University of Maryland and later earned a master’s in computer engineering and telecommunications from George Washington University. She eventually found her calling in real estate in 2008, where her analytical skills and technical background have proven invaluable.

Shelley is also from Tianjin and has been a real estate agent since 2008, working in both residential and commercial real estate and specializing in real estate investments. Shelley is passionate about agent development and training. She leads the team’s training programs, offering weekly sessions and hands-on support to help agents launch and grow their businesses. Her approach focuses on making the challenging early stages of a real estate career more manageable and successful.

John is a seasoned real estate developer and corporate executive with 44 years in the industry. He is known for his work as the president of Commercial Real Estate Strategic Partners and his leadership in developing the $450M Carillon Parc in Southlake, Texas. He also served as vice president of commercial development at DFW Airport, overseeing 4,000 acres of commercial development, and has held roles as an elected official, including Mayor of Southlake. He will focus on the eXp Referral program.
