eXp Life’s Top Stories for 2022: Level Up, Ronnie DeVoe and a Knighting!

It was an energizing and eventful 2022 at eXp World Holdings, with the addition of many top-producing agents – including a celebrity music star – a board member being knighted and the addition of programs to help everyone Level Up their businesses.

1. Level Up Program Kicks Off

To prepare for the real estate market that is shifting into unknown territory, eXp University created a robust program, “Level Up,” which invites eXp Realty agents – and even non-eXp agents – to collaborate through inspiration, education and connection. (Read about Level Up.)

2. Ronnie DeVoe Joins eXp

You might know him best by his group’s hit song, “Poison,” and in February, news broke that Ronnie closed his own independent real estate brokerage, DeVoe Broker Associates, to join eXp Realty. (Read about Ronnie DeVoe.)

3. Valyn Lyons Moves 54-Agent Team to eXp

Atlanta businesswoman and entrepreneur Valyn Lyons has a motto: “No Agent Left Behind” and made good on that saying by moving her 54-agent team from her independent brokerage (Cole Realty Group) to eXp. (Read about Valyn Lyons.)

4. eXp Agent Justin Nelson Builds Own VA Company

Colorado eXp Realty agent Justin Nelson not only sells houses, but he built a virtual assistant tool, Sphere Rocket, that helps business owners from real estate (of course) to stay-at-home moms selling on Etsy. (Read about Justin Nelson.)

5. Relocation, REO and Affinity Certification Program

eXp Realty agents now have access to additional sources of potential revenue by building their referral pipeline through eXp’s burgeoning Relocation, REO, and Affinity businesses, which requires certification. (Read about the REO, Relo and Affinity program.)

6. Minh May Pham ICONs as a Part Time Agent

By day, Houston’s Minh ‘May’ Pham is a full time accountant and by night and weekends, she works as an eXp Realty agent. And even working part time, she managed to make ICON Agent status! (Read about Minh ‘May’ Pham.)

7. 18 eXp Agents Make The Thousand List

Eighteen eXp Realty agents and teams were recognized among the top .065% of more than 1.6 million licensed U.S. Realtors in the 2022 RealTrends + Tom Ferry’s The Thousand list, which ranks the top 500 agents and top 500 teams by transaction sides and sales volume. (Read about The Thousand List.)

8. No. 1 Engel & Völkers Team Joins eXp

David Lawson, head of Utah’s Lawson Team, the No. 1 Engel & Völkers Team in North America, moved to eXp, saying his name and his team’s hard work and dedication generated the business – not the brokerage and the eXp model supports this agent-centric attitude. (Read about the Lawson Team.)

9. eXp Board Member Darren Jacklin Knighted

eXp World Holdings board member Darren Jacklin was one of the 15 men and nine women chosen from among the more than 400 nominees to be honored into The Sovereign and Royal House of Cappadocia, and The Royal Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen. Not only did eXp Realty land on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list for the fifth straight year, but it did so in remarkable fashion. eXp jumped to No. 4 on Glassdoor’s 2022 list of 100 Best Places to Work in the large company category in the U.S. after finishing No. 95 in 2021.
