eXp Realty’s National Agent Advisory Council Ensures Agents’ Voices Are Heard

  • Posted by sfrazier

Lisa Parenteau takes over as chairperson as new members are installed

Being heard and having a voice in a company is a valuable asset. With eXp Realty’s commitment to being the most agent-centric real estate company in the world, it has a National Agent Advisory Council (NAAC), which was installed in 2019 to provide eXp’s agents with a direct liaison with eXp’s leadership team.

How the NAAC Works

The NAAC serves as the eyes and ears of eXp’s massive agent population, now numbering 85,000+ agents. It is a body of influence within eXp and agents on the council are visible and active throughout the company, representing eXp’s core values. Members of the NAAC provide knowledge, expertise and support to eXp’s leadership.

The council is comprised of 13 eXp agents — all of whom serve two-year terms. They are elected to the council in staggered entry points so the flow of new voices gets mixed with an established council.

Agents who are chosen are considered for a variety of factors including diversity (gender/ethnicity), experience level, production level and geographic location. eXp’s leadership then reviews applicants to make sure the council is a balanced representation of eXp’s agent community.

Announcing Members of the NAAC

Massachusetts’ Lisa Parenteau, who served as vice chairperson in 2024, steps up to chair level. The members of the council are:

  1. Lisa Parenteau (Chair)
  2. Andy Peterson
  3. Heather Morton
  4. Jina St James
  5. Kymbrye Mooney
  6. Mikki McDougall
  7. Mindy Price
  8. Michael Weisman
  9. Rizwana Afzali
  10. Sheryl Houck
  11. Stacey Lambright
  12. Steve Parrish
  13. Tina Marie Hernandez

Members of the NAAC are listed on the eXp leadership page.

NAAC Serves As Mouthpiece to Leadership for eXp’s Agent Needs

Through the NAAC, eXp’s agents have an avenue to have their voices heard by providing feedback to the council, who then shares it with the executive team. Likewise, the eXp executive team presents ideas to the council for feedback. Also, when new tools are being launched, the AAC is on the frontlines to vet the product as well as beta-test it. This back-and-forth communication between the council and leadership helps ensure that eXp’s agent-led model continues to thrive.

In addition, each state has an AAC, who liaises with their state broker and the national AAC. eXp Commercial also has an AAC and plans are underway to establish a global AAC.

NAAC Meets Monthly With eXp’s Leadership

The council meets with eXp leadership every month where an agenda is provided and reviewed and the meeting is recorded. The NAAC then communicates the outcomes during state team meetings, via eXp’s Workplace Water Cooler chat forum and their networks.

“Our Agent Advisory Council is another example of eXp’s agent-centric approach to innovation in real estate,” said Jason Gesing, Chief Industry Relations Officer at eXp. “Our strong group of leaders in the AAC drive business decisions and ensure that the agent perspective is always represented. Over the years, the AAC has guided eXp’s model to drive agent success, and has successfully implemented effective changes that were requested by the agents for the betterment of our eXp model.”

How to Submit Suggestions to the NAAC:
