eXp World Holdings Senior Marketing Director, Events & Social Media Jenn Van Burkleo Named a HousingWire 2022 Rising Star

An inspiring, engaging and tireless leader, Jenn Van Burkleo has been integral to eXp Realty’s success. In recognition of this, she was named a HousingWire 2022 Rising Star. 

Jenn is Senior Marketing Director, Events & Social Media at eXp Realty and the second eXp leader to win this award, which SVP of Agent Development Kirtus Dixon won in 2021. Each year, the award recognizes 50 national leaders under the age of 40 who are driving the mortgage, real estate and fintech industries forward. 

Jenn joined eXp Realty as a Social Media Manager in 2017 when there were only 5,000 real estate agents and five social media channels. She was promoted to Marketing Director of Events and Social Media in January 2020 and named Senior Marketing Director, Events & Social Media in January 2022. Today, she oversees events for eXp World Holdings, including the weekly eXp Agent Leadership Meetings in eXp World, the annual eXp Shareholder Summit and EXPCON, as well as manages a team to handle 100+ social media channels across SUCCESS^® Enterprises, Virbela and eXp Realty.

Van Burkleo Handles a Wide Range of Responsibilities

Even during the pandemic and considerable economic uncertainty in 2021, Jenn was able to lead the company to its most successful virtual EXPCON event to date, with more than 17,000 attendees from 35 countries, showcasing eXp’s technology platform and proving that agents can learn and collaborate from anywhere around the globe. This was also the first time eXp was able to leverage a new virtual EXPO Hall for sponsorships. 

She has attracted A-list keynote speakers and entertainment such as Robert Herjavec, Venus Williams, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jamie Kern Lima, Brooke Baldwin, John Salley, Grant Cardone, Mario Lopez, Glenn Stearns, Duncan Wardle, Tim Storey, Rory Vaden, Rorke Denver and this year’s keynote for the eXp Shareholder Summit, purpose coach and former monk Jay Shetty. She has also expanded eXp’s visibility by securing sponsorships and speaking opportunities for company leadership and agents.

In addition to managing eXp’s social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, she created and implemented a plan to transition eXp Realty leadership, staff and agents to Meta’s Workplace platform in 2017 and helped secure the 2021 Meta Workplace Customer Success Award. She also created guidelines and assets to help agents build a better social media presence and lead their own events.

Jenn values input from all team members and ensures that everyone has a seat at the table when marketing decisions are made, which is crucial to the success of eXp’s events and social media campaigns. She also belongs to ONE eXp, the eXp Pride Network, eXp Power Girls and eXp’s Core Value Committee.
