For Vancouver’s John Tsai, eXp Realty’s Stock Program, Revenue Share and Lead Gen Checks All Boxes
By the end of 2017, John Tsai was exhausted from working 18 hours a day, seven days a week, door-knocking and cold-calling as a real estate agent at a Vancouver, British Columbia-based brokerage. He wanted to build something that could generate multiple streams of income, but the $500,000 cost of purchasing a real estate franchise was too steep.
“And then eXp Realty came along and they promised revenue share, stocks and lead generation,” John said. “It was something that I could not believe that I could get with only a $199 start-up fee. I decided to take the plunge, and it all worked out. I went from working seven days a week to four days a week. Now having revenue share income, I can actually spend time with my family.”
Since joining eXp Realty in 2019, John has earned ICON Agent status every year, and is on track to be an ICON again in 2022. The eXp Realty ICON Agent Award is reserved for agents who achieve exceptional production goals and positively impact company culture. This honor signals that these agents are leaders in their field and serve as examples to their colleagues by upholding the core values of eXp Realty.
His goals for 2022 at eXp Realty are to exceed 200 closings with his team and to build a revenue share group of more than 1,000 agents. He would also love to teach more eXp University classes in eXp World. In 2020, he was a guest instructor for the “Rev Up! An Agent Attraction Class.” John also hosts a podcast and YouTube channel to help real estate agents double, triple and quadruple their production income.
