“We started considering moving brokerages early this year, and it took probably half the year to pull the trigger. We wanted to be sure the move would be beneficial for all of our staff and agents, so we had numerous conversations with eXp leadership and fellow agents over several months to make a well-informed decision,’’ Mike said.
“It was important to align ourselves with a forward-thinking company,” said Matt. “The real estate industry has completely changed with technology, the NAR Settlement, and more potential settlements, and changes happening down the road. We had to choose a company we felt was going to be THE leader in the real estate industry, constantly adapting where necessary and providing agents with the right tools to succeed. With five full-time support staffers and eight other agents, Mike and Matt’s Home Experts For You closed on $58 million in sales in 2023, handling 138 units from downtown Philly to its wonderful suburbs and out to the Jersey Shore.
Philly-Based Team Went in Search of Game Changers
Mike and Matt said the catalyst for their eXp move came from their introduction to the company through Guillermo Salas and Ed Fordyce who they know from their coaching days in Real Estate B School with Lars Hedenborg. These three powerhouse leaders certainly prove that the sky is the limit when it comes to scaling their real estate team and building an empire of eXp agents.
Guillermo is the founder of the Guillermo Salas Team, which has served over 1,500 clients and closed more than $450M+ in real estate transactions in its history. Guillermo is also a partner of Game Changers at eXp Realty and leads a group at eXp responsible for an average of $250M in sales per year.
WIth a huge primary market in Philadelphia, its suburbs, and the Jersey Shore at their disposal, Mike and Matt have their hand in every aspect of real estate sales: Residential, commercial, new construction, property management, luxury and their own investment portfolio. They’re thrilled already with the leverage they’re able to access via their move to eXp.
