Philadelphia’s Powerhouse Matt Fetick Team Finds a Home at eXp Realty

After 20 years in real estate, powerhouse duo Matt Fetick and David Maio Williams have amassed quite a collection of accolades from buyers and sellers for their work, building a world-class team in the greater Philadelphia area and ascending to No. 87 in Keller Williams nationally. But something was missing. They needed a place to call home, where they could grow their team and their business. And they found that home at eXp Realty.

“This is truly a homecoming for us,” Matt explained. “So many of our nationwide colleagues from the last 20 years are thriving here, which was a huge catalyst in deciding to move. We looked at the competition, but so many people we know and trust are already established at eXp. The thought of moving is always scary, but we have so many friends and colleagues waiting to welcome us, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to grow that eXp offers. This is the start of a distinct new chapter for us and we can’t wait.”

Success Built on Service

If there was just one word to describe the Matt Fetick Team’s success it would be “service.” In fact, it’s service that has defined Matt Fetick’s entire professional career, from working as a paramedic at 18 to a police officer to a real estate agent.

“I joke that I have built my career on helping people in their homes, but it’s the truth. That’s where I’m most comfortable,” he said. “I wanted to own my own business, and the agent who sold me my home suggested I would be a good real estate agent, so I took the leap and in 2008 I further built my business by digging into foreclosures and the distressed market.”

And the rest, as they say, is history.

In 2010, David Maio Williams left his career in textile design and staging to join the team and the two became partners in and out of the office, creating a true force to be reckoned with in the market. Together, they built a team known for getting the job done.

“We have a reputation in the market as a workhorse, and we are proud of that,” David said. “We roll up our sleeves and get the job done. We don’t shy from hard work and pride ourselves on our creative problem-solving. If I can help people sleep better because I have taken away their anxiety during the buying or selling process, then I am happy.”

The Path to eXp Realty

Matt and David’s unwavering work ethic, combined with a genuine passion and profound understanding of their market, paved the way for their success.

“There’s a certain magic to this area. Within a two-hour radius, you can reach Washington D.C., the New Jersey beaches, or New York City. We’re at the heart of it all, surrounded by a rich Colonial history. It’s truly an ideal place to raise a family.”

The two developed the team’s “Smart Sale Approach.” As true advocates for their clients, they do all due diligence upfront before a home goes on the market so there are limited negotiations and stronger, fully committed offers, equalling a smooth path to closing.

The groundwork for the move to eXp was laid when Matt did short sale training in Arizona with eXp Realty agents Fred Weaver and Kevin Kauffman, who ultimately recruited them.

“Leo Pareja (eXp Realty CEO) was instrumental in guiding us here, as we have known him for many years,” Matt said. “Sometimes you quite simply just outgrow the pot you are in, and you need a bigger pot to thrive in.”
