Shashank Chauhan Is eXp India’s First ICON Agent and Leader of India’s No. 1 Team

Shashank Chauhan did not get a typical start to his real estate career. After getting his masters degree in electrical engineering and working in that field for two years, he quickly realized that real estate interested him more. 

Starting his career at Sotheby’s International Realty in 2015, with a few different brokerages in between, he ultimately landed at eXp India in 2020 for the innovative technology. “I have always considered myself a ‘techy’ person and knew right away that eXp was the place for me,” Shashank said.

Shashank Leads a Team of 25 Agents at eXp India

He describes his success with eXp India as life-changing. Shashank leads a team of 25 agents who together, have increased their sales performance by 200%, reaching $30 million (USD) in sales over 50 transactions in 2022. Personally, Shashank is responsible for $18 million of that sales volume over 26 transactions, which secured his ICON status in 2022. 

“We have been in the real estate industry for over a decade but the eXp model is unique and is truly agent-centric,” said Shashank. “We have grown rapidly under the brand and have always been recognized for our work.”

Shashank says eXp’s independent international brokerage model offers unmatched collaboration on a global scale. “We have closed multiple international referrals in the USA and Canada with our team of global agents because of the eXp model. The transaction process has been very smooth and the invoicing is fast.  We love to collaborate on new opportunities with our global agents – a feature unheard of in other brokerages.” 

Shashank says he and his team have a lot in the pipeline to ensure growth in 2023. Confident that the market will remain healthy in India, despite the global slowdown within the industry, Shashank says his team will definitely outperform previous years and agent growth will skyrocket. With several new developer relationships and a huge agent base in Dubai joining the newly established market, his team is very passionate about the year ahead.

“It’s always a team effort, never just one individual,” Shashank says. That’s why he is always looking to support his teammates throughout the year. His goal will be to have all his agents cap and ensure a few qualify for ICON Agent status who missed it by a small margin this past year.

“Our team has lots of energy for 2023 and we look forward to remaining the No. 1 team in India.”
