St. Louis’ Hispanic Community Leader Jose Ponce Moves 23-agent Team to eXp Realty

As a major player in the St. Louis real estate market, Jose Ponce pulls no punches. The 2000 World Kickboxing Middleweight Champ is a sharp business analyst who has led Gold Properties to be one of the biggest real estate agencies not only in Gateway City, but all of Missouri. 

As an expert in building a great business in the land of opportunity, Jose always looks to stay sharp and ahead of the competition. That’s why even after 23 years at RE/MAX Gold, closing $155 million in 2023, Jose saw it was time to jump to eXp Realty. 

“Once we understood the eXp platform and its long-term vision and mission, it fell in line with our long-term goal for sustainability and growth in our market and also outside of our market,’’ Jose said. 

With 23 agents and four staffers, the transition had to take place swiftly and moving Ponce Realty was a perfect way to start 2024. 

“Due to the nature of our previous brand and our commitment, we needed to speed up the transition, but definitely worth every penny!” he said. 

Ponce Is a Powerhouse in the Hispanic Community for Immigrant-Owned Businesses

As a Mexican-American born in California, Jose has become a deeply influential and entrenched leader in the Hispanic community. His work to create opportunities for people, including Hispanic immigrants eager for work, made him a star Congressional witness in 2021 for immigrant-owned businesses. 

Jose was also named Hispanic Person of the Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce St. Louis in 2021. He was also named Chairman of the Board for the Chamber in 2022.

Brother Victor Ponce Adds Military Might to the Team 

Ponce Realty’s comprehensive and meticulous approach is a reflection of Jose’s brother Victor and his standout military service. As a partner at Ponce Realty, Victor brings his Army service as a Patriot Missile Operator and recruiter to the team. 

Victor retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of honorable service with the rank of First Sergeant and received his 2nd Meritorious Service Medal. He is the lead on Ponce Realty’s dedicated work for veterans and military members looking to buy, sell or relocate. 

So far, the Ponce brothers and their team are thrilled.
