The “Race to Vic Falls”: A Triumph for eXp Realty South Africa Agents

Competition is fierce in real estate, but the rewards are high. In April 2023, eXp Realty South Africa launched an exhilarating campaign, the “Race to Vic Falls,” which captured the attention and ambition of its agents. The stakes? A luxurious 7-night stay at the renowned Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe. To be in the running, eXp agents needed to recruit at least 12 net new agents to their primary network by the end of January 2024.

The journey was not without its challenges, but the allure of Victoria Falls served as a powerful motivator. As the campaign drew to a close, only six agents emerged victorious, meeting the stringent requirements to qualify for the coveted draw. Among them were Alet Marias, David Beattie, Elmarie Human, Lizna Nel, Lydia Vorster, and Steven Johnstone, each having shown outstanding commitment and skill in growing their networks.

Great anticipation held everyone’s attention as the exciting campaign came down to the final name draw held at Cape Town’s waterfront.  David Beattie’s name was drawn, winning him and his loved ones a dreamy getaway to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. His reaction was pure joy, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and the effort invested. 

“I feel so privileged,” he exclaimed. “This is such a blessing. I cannot wait to embark on this journey with my family. I will be taking my wife and three daughters with me. David’s achievement was not merely luck but the culmination of hard work and determination.

“We had to get 12 new agents to join eXp Realty South Africa on our Tier 1,” he explained. “I worked hard and attracted some agents so that I could qualify for this amazing draw.” 

His commitment to the task at hand paid off handsomely, opening the door to an unforgettable experience for him and his loved ones.

Steven Johnstone led the pack, attracting an impressive 36 new agents, followed by David Beattie with 17, Lizna Nel with 14, and Alet Marias and Elmarie Human with 13 each. Lydia Vorster rounded out the group, meeting the threshold with 12 new recruits.
