After 21 Years, John and Crystal Schlanbusch Close Their Independent Brokerage and Move to eXp Realty

John and Crystal Schlanbusch of Tacoma, Washington, have made a significant move in their real estate careers by closing their independent brokerage, John S Realty, after 21 years, and transitioning to eXp Realty. This decision marks a new chapter for the Schlanbusch duo and their 32-agent team, who are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with eXp Realty.

Over the years, John and Crystal were approached by many brokerages, but they were particularly drawn to what eXp Realty had to offer. “We researched extensively to see what would be a good fit for us and our team. Ultimately, we loved what eXp had to offer,” said Crystal. “We had a boutique office, with up to 80 agents at one point. It’s slimmed down a hair over these past few years, yet we had 30 agents interested in joining us. We are bringing two assistants with us for support.”

Schlanbusch’s Were Wooed By Several Big Brokerages

The decision to join eXp Realty was not easy, but the timing was right.

“We have had other offices and organizations approach us for YEARS – Century21, Engel & Völkers, KW just to name a few, but we were never ready, nor thought that would be the direction we’d go. As things unfold in our lives, changes happen and at this time – this move just felt RIGHT,” said Crystal, who added that eXp Realty agent Chris Seim was instrumental in helping them understand eXp’s model.

“We have known Chris at eXp for years. He had presented some info on eXp to us a few times, but never really pushed – – which was good for him, because Crystal is seriously turned off by pushy salesmen. After generous thought and consideration, we decided to call Chris and explore how the eXp experience could help us take our business to the next level. Chris’s calm demeanor, and patience with us and all our questions, was incredibly important to us selecting eXp as the firm to move to,” said John.

eXp Allows for Easy Expansion

John S Realty, located in Western Washington (Tacoma), is now expanding to Florida under the eXp Realty umbrella. This expansion is a testament to John and Crystal’s vision for growth and their commitment to providing exceptional real estate services in new markets.
