Robert and Angelica Yost and the Prime Real Estate Team Join eXp Realty to Focus on Production and Growth

After seven years with Side, Robert and Angelica Yost, co-founders and co-team leads for Prime Real Estate, have made a pivotal decision to transition their team to eXp Realty, bringing along 21 agents who cover the Folsom and Greater Sacramento markets. Prime Real Estate is a well-established name in the area, with an impressive $126 million in sales and over 211 units closed in 2023 alone.

The Move to eXp Realty: Breaking Through the Ceiling

Robert, known for his leadership and strategic vision, acknowledged that his team had “hit the ceiling” with their previous brokerage. 

“We needed to break through and get more from our platform and give more to our agents,” Robert explained. 

While he was considering six different brokerages, the decision to join eXp Realty became clear through meaningful conversations with eXp Realty agents Colby and Michael Culbertson. What stood out to Robert was their approach.

“They didn’t try to recruit me — they just talked business,” Robert said. “Systems, agents, and their structure.”

The Fast Forward Movement’s Impact on Robert’s Decision

Robert was also drawn to the Fast Forward Movement, a production-focused group within eXp Realty, led by top agents Dan Beer and Kyle Whissel.

“I met Kyle at multiple conferences, and I know who he is. I have watched his growth from afar for years. I’ve been very inspired watching his success. Seeing what those guys have done, and that they are production-focused and their teams are doing big numbers, was important,” Robert shared.

Robert was also impressed by the Fast Forward Movement’s masterminds. 

“Their masterminds are very real and very open. They are helping each other grow and elevate the industry,” Robert said. 

Robert is motivated to challenge the stereotypes often associated with real estate agents.

“As a whole, real estate agents don’t have the best reputation. But we have a bad reputation for a reason — there are a lot of agents who don’t take care of clients. We want to prove them wrong. We try to do our best to elevate it.”

Robert Got Turned Onto Real Estate at Age 20

Robert is a 19-year real estate industry veteran who discovered his passion for the housing market at a young age. Growing up in Sacramento, California, he bought his first condo at just 20 years old, realizing the long-term benefits of homeownership and inspiring his career in real estate.

With an exceptional work ethic, extensive experience, and a deep commitment to customer service, Robert quickly distinguished himself from other local agents. He is a member of the Sacramento Association of Realtors® Masters Club, a multiple-time Five Star Real Estate Award Winner, and is recognized as a top-producing Realtor in the greater Sacramento area.

Angelica Galeana Yost: Co-Founder and Director of Growth at Prime

A key player in Prime Real Estate’s success is Robert’s wife, Angelica, who serves as co-team lead, co-founder, and Director of Growth. Throughout her professional career, Angelica has been deeply rooted in customer service, bringing an extensive and varied background to the role. She spent nine years as a manager at Nordstrom, where she honed her communication and multitasking skills, and later worked in operations support and training for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. 

When she and Robert founded Prime, her ability to elevate the customer experience made her a natural fit for the position. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Angelica was born in San Francisco and grew up in Mexico before moving to Folsom, which further enhances her communication with a broad range of clients.
